Welcome to micasamovi, the home of the more mysterious and intangible elements of the
moving image. Where art and film collide.

Lee Hodges is a cornish artist who specialises in film and video design.
Micasamovi has worked with theatre companies, designing film sequences
as key parts in plays, he has worked with production companies, providing
commisioned short films to short intro sequences. His work has been played
nationally and internationally, in festivals and touring programmes.
Lee also carries with him an extensive back catalogue of 'experimental' work,
where using techniques such as ink, paint and old film loops and feedback,
he has created unique, moving canvasses, this is in the process of being
formatted and will hopefully be available to view soon.

able to view a synopsis and some of the finished films themselves.

These are films which I have seen I find inspiring(in no particular order), some are
short some are long, but they all have something in common,
an element of magic or mystery, which to me is what films are all about.

1. Hedgehog in the fog - Yuri Norstein
Quite simply.......rare and magical.
2. The Lorax - Dr. Suess
A fantastic cautionary tale, with the stupid onceler and the truffular trees!
3. The Wrecking season - Nick Darke
A beautiful cornish film about what washes up on our shores.
4. The Secret of Roan Inish - John Sayles
A truly magical film about the sea, seals and Kelpies...
5. Hiema - Sigur Ros.
Spellbinding, moving and other worldy, Sigur Ros play at home in Iceland.
